Terms of Service
Effective September 23, 2026
These are the rules for using Social Card. By creating a card you agree to them. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app.
Social Card is run by CJW Ventures LLC (“we”, “us”). You can reach us at info@socialcard.gg.
Who can use Social Card
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under 18, you need a parent’s or guardian’s permission. You may have one account, and it must be you: a real person, under a name people know you by.
What Social Card is
Social Card is a way to exchange contact with people you meet in person, remember when and where you met, message them, and see how the people you know are connected. Connections are made by two people scanning each other’s codes, together, in person.
Your account is your phone
There is no password. Your account lives on your phone. If you add a backup email, you can move your account to a new phone. If you lose your phone and have no backup email, we cannot recover the account for you.
What you share, and who sees it
Your card (name, username, bio, tags, photo) is visible to the people you connect with and to the people they are connected with. Who you are connected to is visible the same way, unless you hide your connections from someone. Notes and photos on an encounter are shared between the two people in it. Messages are between the two people in the chat. The Privacy Policy has the details.
Rules
Don’t use Social Card to:
- harass, threaten, bully, or stalk anyone
- send sexual content to someone who hasn’t asked for it, or any sexual content involving minors
- send spam, scams, or anything illegal
- pretend to be someone you are not
- collect information about people for anything other than knowing them
- break, overload, or get around the limits of the service, or use it through anything other than the app
We have no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. You can report any person or message from inside the app, and block anyone. We review reports within 24 hours, and we remove content and close the accounts of people who break these rules.
Your content
What you write and upload stays yours. You give us permission to store it and show it to the people you have chosen to share it with, which is what the app is for. You are responsible for what you share, and you must have the right to share it.
Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time in Settings. That removes your card, your connections, your messages, and your photos. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts other people at risk.
The service
We are building Social Card as carefully as we can, but it is provided as it is, without warranties of any kind. It may change, be interrupted, or end. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for anything other people do with what you share with them. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the law that cannot be limited.
Changes
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Social Card after that means you accept the new terms.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, USA, and disputes will be handled in its courts, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
Apple
If you got the app from the App Store: these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, has no obligation to provide support for it, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them. Your use must also follow the App Store’s terms.
